Executive Director Ma. Esmeralda dela Paz of the Children’s Rehabilitation Center (CRC) said the “Walk for Justice, Walk for Peace” will coincide with the biggest walkathon in the Netherlands in which Kyle Baleva is one of its 45,000 participants. A twelve-year-old Filipino is set to join 45,000 participants in the biggest walkathon in the world held yearly in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Kyle Baleva is now engrossed in psyching up and preparing himself physically for the Walk of the World or the Four-Day Marches that will be held from July 21 to July 24. Study exposes new forms of human rights violations vs children

The Philippine Star The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has committed “new forms” of human rights violations against children by labeling them “child soldiers,” a report by a child welfare group said Friday. This as the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict will be visiting the Philippines for four days beginning tomorrow to ascertain the impact of the conflict on Filipino children and the association of children with armed groups.
